As I type out this post now I was just thinking to myself…do I usually look as pretty as the image above when I am in such deep thoughts? hehehe the answer is “but of course Gakii” :-)..I actually never intended to use these images for this post but I feel inspired to share my thoughts…
Being a Christian and a huge believer in God I believe in being born for a purpose. People find this purpose in different ways: others stumble upon it by accident some just kind of know it but I think the majority of us have to dig deeper within ourselves to discover it. Unfortunately, the process of digging is not as fun or easy.. in fact the biggest challenge that counters this process is FEAR. Finding your own unique purpose makes you stand out from the masses sometimes in a manner that everyone is in awe and admires you and other times in not such a good way. People will find you weird and most of us are not comfortable being associated with that word.
The past three weeks have given me a real opportunity to dig deeper and I am facing real fears my friends the fear of being mediocre, of failing or just not getting it right. However, I am also learning to let go and live one day at a time, to exhale to plan to dream and believe.
The struggles of metamorphosing into a real adult and finding your own God given purpose in life is such a difficult and exciting process but I hope you and I finally transform into the prettiest butterflies once the process is over. We just need to ditch the fear.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Let’s talk: Do you believe in being born for a purpose? Have you found it? How? How do you deal with fears? Any other comments are welcome.
